A RESEARCH BASED RESOURCE GUIDE:
If you can't see the index, click on the title above to reach the home page. (This is a work in progress and although there is a great deal of information, there is still much to complete and edit.)
I really enjoyed this topic. It opened my eyes to a lot of new and different things. A lot of it made sense. I really liked Kohlbergs views on morality.
Tons of information included in this. Not just covering when things are not right, but also looking at when things are going right with kids. It confirms how vital our roles are as parents and caregivers in providing necessary nurting, rules, making sure needs are met & how important early intervention helps.
The learning never ends when it comes to parenting. There are always areas we as parents can improve on. This course has helped me to realize what I have been doing a good job on and what areas I need to work on. The way we interact with our children within the first few years of their lives are so important in their social emotional development. What we do in those first few years will have lasting effects on the child. The stronger the attachment we build with the child, the greater the chances are for the child to be socially and emotionally prepared for life.
